Govan Initiative Ltd is a not for profit economic development company, situated in the South West of Glasgow, whose purpose is to revitalise the economy of Greater Govan in order to improve the prosperity of its business and residential inhabitants. The Company was formed in 1986 representing a partnership of Strathclyde Regional Council, the Scottish Development Agency, the City of Glasgow District Council and representatives of the private sector.In 1987, the Partnership established itself as a Company Limited by Guarantee.

Govan Law Centre is a community controlled organisation which exists to tackle unmet legal needs within the Govan area. It is part of Govan Community Organisations Council which is a registered charity. It is funded through Glasgow City Council. Its legal work is undertaken by the independent legal practice of Derek O' Carroll, Solicitor, who is the Principal at the address above.
